About

TaskTots

A family-friendly chore + goals app that makes consistency easier, turns responsibility into confidence, and helps kids feel proud of their progress.

TaskTots is built for real families in real life. It keeps expectations clear and the feedback loop positive — so parents spend less time negotiating and kids spend more time succeeding.

Focus

Clarity, consistency, and encouragement.

Built for

Parents, kids, and busy routines.

Why we built it

TaskTots was created by TD — a parent of two elementary-age boys — to make chores feel less like conflict and more like progress. The goal was simple: help kids build independence, without parents living in spreadsheets.

As someone diagnosed with ADHD later in life, TD wanted a system that reduces friction, supports follow-through, and still works when executive function is low. TaskTots is designed to be gentle, motivating, and easy to keep up with.

Who it’s for

  • Parents who want a clear, friendly routine system.
  • Kids who respond to visible progress and rewards.
  • Families supporting attention or executive-function challenges — without a clinical vibe.

How it works

1. Create

Parents add chores as one-time or recurring routines.

2. Complete

Kids check off tasks with a focused, friendly dashboard.

3. Approve

Parents confirm completions when approval is needed.

4. Reward

Points turn into rewards, progress, and confidence.

Recurring chores are managed as templates, and the app computes what’s due based on history — so families avoid busywork and reduce “gaming” the system.

Designed for families

TaskTots keeps the experience kid-friendly and the controls parent-first. Parents manage households, kids focus on their own dashboards, and the UI is calm, clear, and encouraging.

We prioritize privacy and sensible defaults. Authentication currently supports Google sign-in, and email-based access is in progress.

What’s next

  • Email-link login.
  • Better insights on the kid dashboard.
  • More reward tools and saving goals.
  • A more polished PWA-first mobile experience.
